• I have these messages at the top of every page and can’t work out why:

Warning: session id is too long or contains illegal characters, valid characters are a-z, A-Z, 0-9 and ‘-,’ in /home/helnic/winebird.co.uk/wp-content/themes/Divi/header.php on line 1

How do I get rid of them, please? This is urgent now! See winebird.co.uk

    Thanks

  • I don’t see them so I guess only admin sees it.

Anyway to fix this you need some PHP coding.

You need to get rid of these illegal characters.

Thank you for replying. I don’t understand which illegal characters they are talking about and I don’t speak code, so I have no idea what this link means! Argh! Is there a way of telling me in layman’s terms?

Thanks so much for any help…

Looks like a problem with your theme.
try adding the function i sent you in the functions.php file.

contact me if you need any coding help

    Hi,

I dont see any errors whatsoever on your site? I do notice that it is pretty slow when loading however.

That may be something to do with the errors you are seeing.

I have used Divi quite a lot in the past so if you still have these issues let us know.

Also, i’d suggest not contacting anyone through these forums or handing out login details. A mod will be along shortly no doubt to amend @oshikernst post above, he is not allowed to do that

@innuvo sorry about that, didn’t know.

    Hello innuvo,

Thanks for this. I;m glad no one else can see the message, but it is a problem that it’s so slow. One of the reasons I took this package was for the speed. Is there anything I can do about that?

    Thanks foryou help too, OshikErnst…

    Hi Helena,

Firstly I would take a look at plugins you have installed and what hosting you have. If you have lots of plugins, maybe see if you need to have them installed. This is the first place to start.

After that, see that you have a good host (there are bad ones) and check out their reviews. I see you are UK based like myself but I am not allowed to recommend on these forums, but there are plenty of good UK hosts.

Your sidebar also plays a little funny to me, it changes colours on loading and all sorts. I think there a few little buggy things that could probably do with sorting out.

    Hi,

My host was recommended for being quick and it’s Dreamhost. I’ve no idea how to fix the buggy things. It doesn’t seem intuitive to me and I don’t ‘speak tech’. Can you advise me how to get some help, please? My site needs to be fast! On teh plus side, the admin warning has disappeared.

Also, Some of my videos on my blog don’t appear despite me seemingly uploading them in exactly the same way. Have you seen that before?

    Thank you!

    Helena
