Can't get rid of "HOME" menu bar

This is a newbie question, I know, but I *think* I’ve been through all the Customize settings and I can’t fix this one:

Under the header area, directly below the logo, there’s a “HOME” button in a gray bar that I can’t remove. It’s actually one field out of a variable number (currently four, sometimes more)–this makes me think it’s a Featured Content menu that I haven’t been able to turn off, since Featured Content has a variable number of fields as well.

Any help removing this bar would be appreciated!
