• Hello,

Despite numerous attempts I can’t get your plugin to activate without generating the following error:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare constant_contact_admin_widget_scripts_legacy() (previously declared in /home/janinetu/public_html/wp-content/plugins/constant-contact-api/widget-legacy.php:13) in /home/janinetu/public_html/wp-content/plugins/constant-contact-api/widget-legacy.php on line 12

I’d appreciate any assistance / suggestions you can offer!!

    Thanks much,

    Tony C.

  • Same here. For the last 2 weeks have been trying to install the plugin and get the same error as mentioned above. Please help! Thank you!

I was able to get this to work, actually.

I noticed after installing the plugin files, and going to the plugins page in the admin panel, two separate plugins show up:

    Constant Contact API

Constant Contact API: Form Designer (Alpha)

By activating the “Form Designer (Alpha)” one first, then the Constant Contact API second, the plugin stopped giving me the error.

Now that it’s installed, I’m still getting some strange issues with email validation. If you get that far let me know if you experience the same.

For clarification: when I add an “email” field to my Constant Contact sign up form, it rejects some emails saying they’re not valid email addresses…

Humm…I am not even able to go to the plugins page in the admin panel. The whole page is white with this error.

Hmmm, I didn’t encounter that issue at all…

Are you on the most current version of WP?

Also I recommend uploading the Plugin via FTP if you’re not already… uploading through the admin panel can sometimes cause unexpected results…

    Hope that helps
