    I’m trying to setup Site Kit, and whenever I click the SIGN IN WITH GOOGLE button, I go through the three steps and then get redirected to the same page again with no changes.

    @wonka2 Thanks for reporting, hopefully we can assist. There are some troubleshoot steps on the plugins website which you may have already tried. If you’ve followed those already and the issue remains can you inform me of the following:
    – Can you share your Site Health information
    – Do you see the success message at the last stage?

    I’ve followed the troubleshooting steps. I’ve disabled all non-default plugins. I’ve tried install SiteKit using the “private window” suggestion. I’ve switched my active theme to 2019. No luck.

    Site Health is “Good” with no critical issues. The SiteKit installation process gets to the “success” message and creates a Dashboard option. However, selecting the Dashboard admin option goes back to /wp-admin/admin.php?page=googlesitekit-splash .

    Not sure what else can be done.

    @wonka2 really appreciate the details. During the setup process were you ever prompted to allow Site Kit access to your Google Account?

    It’s similar but may be slightly different from this screen, but in both cases you have to press the button “Allow” to grant permission.

    @tompkinsjournal thanks for the details as well. We’ve found that these cases differ from site to site, so to further troubleshoot it would be great if you could open a new support topic with the same info (URL, Site Health, and let us know if you were able to grant access to for Site Kit). It also adheres to forum guidelines.

    Thank you both for bringing this to our attention.

    @reneesoffice yeah, i did get that screen

    @wonka2 thanks for the confirmation.

    1) Are you using Site Kit with your Google Account on any other sites? If so, how many?

    2) We noticed that the site is available at both the https:// and https:// versions.

    Did you recently make the change to https://? Did you first attempt set up with Site Kit before the site was changed over?

    Thanks again!

    P.S. It might be best to force traffic to https:// if that is where you want the site to be accessed. Your host should be able to provide instruction on how to best do that on their servers.

    @wonka2 I’m following up on your support topic. After reviewing your site, it appears you were able to make the updates above and that you have set up Site Kit successfully?

    We’ve also released version 1.6.0 so feel free to update to that version.
