I’ve had WordPress installed for several years on my website and I update it regularly. Until recently everything was fine. But over the last couple of weeks I find that I can login without a problem and I can get to the dashboard, but I can’t move anywhere from there.

I have a feeling that this started after an automatic update of a plugin, but I can’t get to the plugin page to deactivate them. What can I do to rectify this?

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

  • You could access your blog/site via FTP and manually delete plugin folder?

I thought of doing that but was concerned that it would upset the inner workings of WordPress.

Do you think this is the only option I have?

Well, I decided to take a risk and just do what Dantesnake suggested. I deleted the entire plugin file via ftp and the problem is fixed. I have since uploaded new downloads of each plugin I want to continue using and everything is working as normal again. ??
