I installed wordpress on this site yesterday. I have been using WordPress for many years on another site so I have an understanding of how everything works.

Everything was working fine until I changed the thumbnail default size from 150×150 to 130×195 within the Options Media page. Immediately after doing this I viewed the home page to see the change (it did not work so I have since added a php function through the child’s functions page, which has worked – I did this via ftp). Now, however, I go to the login page but cannot get to the dashboard. I get a blank white page, no error message. I have cleared my cache, but that didn’t make a difference.

May I ask for some assistance please? I have no idea what to do next.

    Thank you in advance.

It’s OK. I found a page advising me to access the theme file through ftp and rename the folder which converts the theme back to the default. There must have been a clash between the new setting and the theme as disabling the theme gave me access to the dashboard. I have changed the setting back to 150×150 and reactivated the theme, and now all is good.
