Can't get my comments to work for old posts

Here’s a bump. Still haven’t gotten it to work.

Figured it out. It had nothing to do with my settings or comments.php.

For anyone else that stumbles upon this. I fixed it by logging into my cpanel from the hosting provider.

Selected phpMyadmin

Selected the correct database for the wordpress site

Check wp_comments

Click the SQL tab

Enter this:
UPDATE wp_posts SET comment_status = "open"

Then press go.

That’s it!
