    Greetings,

Are there any known issues with the Blocksy theme with Blocksy Companion?
Using WP 5.8.4 with php 8.0 with Blocksy theme 1.8.14., with Blocksy Companion plugin. Nothing shows, even when I preview the Sample Slider” page.

    Thanks,
    Kim

So it is working correctly when you switch out to another theme?
    Have you tested this?

Also are you getting any JavaScript errors on the page (press CTRL+SHIFT+J keys together to show the JS console)

    Hi Simon,

I did try it with the twentytwenty theme and I had the same issue. Site is live now, so can’t really try another theme again.

I was getting no JS errors.

The other thing you could try (and I’m not sure if you can being a live site) is test to see if it’s clashing with another plugin.

That would involve deactivating all other plugins (except Slide Anything) and if this resolves the issue (i.e. there is a clash), then:
    – Activate plugins one-by-one
    – Testing between each activation to see when the issue returns to identify the plugin

Hi there – so sorry. I just saw your reply. Yes, I have tried not only deactivating but deleting all other plugins and making sure they were gone from the plugin directory.

    Bummer.

    Hi Simon,

Same issue using twentytwenty. Since the latest version my sliders have disappeared from the frontend where the shortcut is pasted. I have checked in the console and it seems that there is some issue in the script (Uncaught ReferenceError: jQuery is not defined). See image: https://ibb.co/wJg7Bf0

Any idea or recommendation to fix this?

    Thanks.

    Martin

@martindev – Well Slide Anything requires jQuery in order to run. In fact WP is supposed to come bundled with jQuery, and may plugins require it, so that’s weird.

Have you tried ticking the “DOMContentLoaded event” checkbox (under “Other Settings”) within your Slider settings?

Hi SimonPledge – ticking the “DOMContentLoaded event” did the trick.

    Thank you!!
