I think this would have better suited a support request. Hopefully, my answer will prompt you to update your review of the plugin to something a little better and that reflects its true capabilities!

This plugin allows you to set-up notifications for user accounts or user roles in WordPress.
Once the plugin is installed, you’ll find a new menu called ‘Notifications’ in the WordPress admin that will allow you to set-up notifications. Some examples would be:

• You want the Editor role to be emailed with details of a page when it’s been updated.
• You want all your subscribers to be notified of when new Posts are published.
• You want a Moderator to be notified of when a new comment is awaiting moderation.

I recommend checking out the screenshots to see the plugin in action and of course, to give it a try.

If you’re looking for a plugin that will allow people to subscribe to a newsletter (something I mention that this plugin doesn’t do in the FAQ), i’d recommend a plugin such as MailPoet.

It seems that it wasn’t clear for me how to use the plugin. I could’t find this anywhere. And I choose your plugin because everybody was so positive about it. However, I didn’t understand what it was for (looked like a notification for newsletters) and I couldn’t get it going. Therefore I was disappointed after trying so hard.

It’s a shame that you won’t change your review to something more positive.

Nowhere does it state that it’s a newsletter plugin and it even mentions in the FAQ that it specially isn’t a newsletter plugin.

In the first paragraph of the plugin Description it says:

Better Notifications for WordPress allows you to generate custom email notifications and send them to user roles (including custom roles) or individual users for all kinds of things happening on your WordPress website.

It then goes on to list an example.

I feel that, by not updating your review, you are giving other potential users and downloaders an unfair review based on your mis-understanding of what the plugin does and not based on what the plugin actually does do, which many users feel does very well.

If this is an error or my part then I will happily revise the description of the plugin to make it clearer what it does for any future users but I would encourage you to try the plugin and revise your review based on this.

If there is anything you feel I can do to get this even higher, please let me know.

Perhaps I will try the plugin in future,
but I feel it is more suited for advanced users (?)

Ennovy, can you please rate it 5 stars or remove your vote? If this plugin is not serving the purpose you expected, don’t just blame it, but respect the developers work. There are a video and description, I suggest you watch it first. I came here because of the low rating so I want other people to see that the plugin is good if it is, and not to lose time coming here because of the low rating. Thank you! Wish you all best. =)
