    GegH1,
could you provide more details on how you’ve set up the plugin, what WP version is, what the plugin version is, list of plugins enabled?

    Hello,

I am so stoked to have found your plugin! I am however having a hard time employing it. I have put the short code on the proper pages, and set them up only to display the catagory that they represent, but I am not able to see the results. Any help you have would be greatly appreciated. The site is in the works… trying to make it so the food posts are separate from the regular posts.

    Many thanks,

    Hi bturnermail,
could you provide more details? What version of WP did you use and how exactly have you setup the plugin?

    Hi Oleg,

    I am using WP 3.6.1

I installed WP through GoDaddy hosting site installation function.
I also installed WP-post-filter version 0.2 using the install function under the plugin section.

    I went to settings>>WP-post-filter
and left the top section untouched, went into each and every Page and set the filter to Categories, at the same time selected my defined Categories. Then save.

When I went to my website to verify, I found that there wasn’t any changes.

*At the moment I have only one post linked to one category. yet it is unable to be displayed on my page.

Please assist me. I totally have no background in codes or in WP.

    Hi Wee.Wesley,
I think you’ve done almost everything you need to get it working. One last thing is that you need to edit the page you want plugin to output posts to and put [wppf] shortcode there. Save it and check what it displays.

    Thanks.

I’m sorry Oleg, but I’m totally new to WP, and I don’t know anything about PHP.

Should I place the shortcode into the file Page Template (page.php)

Please direct me on where do I place the [wppf] shortcode, in between which lines?

I’m really lost, I’ve done trial and error. But still not getting the filtering results.

    Wee.Wesley,
You just need to go to Pages, and then click “edit” on the page you want to display posts list in. E. g. You have the “Real estate” page. You just go in Pages section in wp admin panel, find the page, click on edit [the editor containing the page text appears], and put [wppf] shortcode in there. If there’s some text around the shortcode, posts list will be displayed in the middle of the text. There is no php knowledge required, you just go along with WP admin panel and [wppf] shortcode inside your page text.

Thank you Oleg. It works very well.

Many many thanks for the instructions and for your plug-in. =D
