Can’t get it to work

I have a page that I am trying to prevent certain users from accessing. I have set up a role for ’employee’, and have excluded that role from the page. No matter what I do, I can’t seem to prevent them from accessing the page. Is there something that I might be doing wrong? Can someone help me out?
