can't get into wp-admn

  • Hi, I’ve been working on a new site my third word press site on a oneclick installation on dream host. https://www.sli-nios-fearr.com I lost connection whilst up dating a page and now I can’t get in some how the connection spiral keeps spinning for ages. I’ve shut down tried getting gone online and still can’t get the site up. I’ve checked all my other sites and alls well, but cant get the wp-admin page up on this new site. Any ideas – I’m no coder though

  • Try:
    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress.

    As I can’t load log into word press admin and bring up a dashboard under https://www.sli-nios-fearr, I can’t do anything to switch themes. As my files are on dreamhosted mysql not sure how to get in these files as i don’t up load anything other than images – Help – Regards martin

    Please re-read my post above. None of the suggestions I made require you to login to your WordPress dashboard.
