that’s pretty cool NM. I’ve never messed with the encoded data. What is MD5 ? some kind of encrypting thing or hashing thing? I presume when you save the new edit, that record reverts back to some new long ugly code for the password? thanks,

mojo1 – MD5 is an encryption technique. It’s reckoned to be fairly secure as such.

actualy, MD5 is a one-way hash, not an encryption at all. Encryption implies that it can also be decrypted (preferably with the appropriate key) but there is no way to undo an MD5 hash. It’s a one-way street and that’s why it tends to get used to store sensitive stuff like passwords.

hey i have trouble because my phpmyadmin thing loosk completely different then that, and im having the same problem

phpmyadmin works the same – mine has also changed. If I was sure everyone was on the same version, I’d redo the shots, but then phpmyadmin can be skinned now ??

It is the same though – just take it slowly.
