Unfortunately without being able to get into the website, I’m not sure what version of WordPress I’m using… I presume the most recent.

    Website: https://www.wingedwillowpress.com

I logged into my wordpress site. Tried to update plugins. Then received this error.

Fatal error: Cannot find a library with slug admin-pages/class.jetpack-landing-page. in /home/wingedwi/public_html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/require-lib.php on line 35

Now I can’t get into the backend through: https://www.wingedwillowpress.com/wp-admin/

It instantly gives me the error:

Fatal error: Cannot find a library with slug admin-pages/class.jetpack-landing-page. in /home/wingedwi/public_html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/require-lib.php on line 35

I’m not sure if this is related…

Today I received this from myRepono automated website backup:

The most recent backup for this domain failed, please follow the instructions included in the error message below. Additional guidance can be found in the Failed Backup Errors and Trouble-Shooting documentation.
    Failed Backup Thu 21st Apr 2016 01:32, 00:33, Wed 20th Apr 2016 23:34 and 13 past backups

  • Rename wp-content/plugins/jetpack to wp-content/plugins/jetpack-old

This is a Jetpack issue, and I believe they pushed out a new version earlier today which addresses it.

Since you can’t get into your site, you’ll need to update the plugin manually; there’s a download link available on the Jetpack site.

(Or disable the plugin as kmessinger just suggested, so that you can update it from the Dashboard instead.)

    Thanks @girlieworks.

    I’m getting this error too.

UPDATE: Renaming the Jetpack folder as recommended allowed me to log in. Thanks!

Okay, tried to reinstall it, click to the Jetpack link in the menu, and now it throws a “you don’t have permissions” error after installation. WTH? I’ve used Jetpack for years now and never had this problem with it before. I used the browser back button to the plugin page and deactivated it. Now I’m scared to use it.

    I’m brand-spanking new to this…

    @kmessinger: How/where to I rename a folder?

@girlieworks: how do I update jetpack manually?

Thanks so much for your help!

@sudierakusin: Both options would require using FTP (or a File Manager provided by your webhost), so I think you should just go with kmessinger’s option because it’s far more simple to do once you’re in there.

@sudierakusin Please start a new thread.
