    Hi Andy, would it be possible to provide a link to your site so I can take a look directly? That would be the best way to troubleshoot.

    Thanks for the link. To get the full-width effect you’ll need to remove both your background image and colour from the Customizer.

    It looks like you’ve managed to get your image displaying full-screen. Did you still need any help with it or are you all set?

    Hi Kathryn,

    Now I would like exact control over what is diaplayed in the full screen feature image – some dimentions would be handy ie x pixels high by x pisels wide with the letterbox x pixels high and x pixels wide.

    As you probably saw in the Customizer, the theme suggests a featured image of 1230 x 1230px. The image is displayed as a background image, and the portions that are visible depend on your browser window size. It’s not possible to precisely specify which parts will be viewed and at what screen sizes, so you’re probably best off not including elements that are critical to be viewed at every size, like a logo.

    You might want to look into using Edin’s Site Logo feature for that, which will is available through the Jetpack plugin.

    https://jetpack.me/support/site-logo/

    Edin already has Site Logo support built in, so once you activate Jetpack you can upload a logo under Appearance > Customizer > Site Title, Tagline & Site Logo.

    Thanks for all your help Kathryn you certainly live up to the Automattic Happiness Engineer title ??

    Any way of removing the text from the middle of the feature image?

    You’re very welcome. ?? The logo looks good!

    If you want to hide the page title just on the homepage, this should work:

    .home .hero-wrapper .page-title {
         display: none;
    }

    Don’t edit the theme files directly, otherwise your changes will be overwritten whenever the theme is updated. Since you’re already using Jetpack, an easy way to add custom CSS is to activate the Custom CSS module. You’ll then add your custom CSS in the new stylesheet editor that’ll appear in your dashboard, under Appearance > Edit CSS.

    Hi there,
    I can’t get my image to go full width on my site.
    What have I done wrong?

    I don’t use a background color nor a background image.

    I have set the page to use the front page template.

    Hi webkocken – would it be possible to provide access to the site so I can take a look? The URL shows a “coming soon” message currently.
