I’ve followed the instructions for installing the plug in, and created all my faq posts. I inserted the [ultimate-faqs] shortcode and tried a few other shortcodes but I can’t get the faqs to generate. If I go to the specific url I can see the faq though.

  • Hi forsterp,

What does the page look like after you put the [ultimate-faqs] shortcode on it? Does it just show up blank, or do you just see the actual shortcode, or something else? Is there any other content on that page, and is that content working? Do other shortcodes work – from our plugin or another plugin? Does your theme have some kind of visual composer or page builder? If you create a brand new page and disable any kind of page builder on it, and then just put the [ultimate-faqs] shortcode as the only content on that page, does it then display your FAQs?

    Thank you

I just see a blank space, no shortcode, so it must be atleast recognizing the shortcode. I’ve put other content on the page to test and that content is working. Other shortcodes are working. I do not have a composer or builder installed. However I do have Cherry Theme Framework installed, could that be causing an issue? I haven’t had it interfere with any other plug ins though.

    Hi forsterp,

Thank you for following up. Unfortunately, we don’t have much experience with the Cherry Theme Framework. That being said, we haven’t heard of any specific conflicts with it. Nevertheless, if, as a test, you switch to a different theme, do your FAQs display?

    Hello,
I created faq using ultimate-faq plugin, at front end it has been shown, when i am trying to open faq, its giving error of “404 page not found”.
my url is for the particular faq is:-
    https://localhost/wpthemes/emisoftware/ufaqs/embed-apps-in-your-website/

My reference site for faq is https://www.family-service.org/family-service/faq/
but in this its redirecting to a page but its giving me an error. so please tell me what to do?

    Thanks

    Hi Ankit,

As is often the case when a new custom post type is registered in WordPress, it sounds like you just need to flush your permalinks. To do this:

    – In the main menu, go to “Settings > Permalinks”.
    – Scroll down, if needed, and click “Save Changes”. No need to actually make any changes.
    – Rewrite rules and permalinks have now been flushed. Try your FAQ again.

In the future, if you have a separate issue, please start a new thread.

    hello,

Thanks for this. its working now.
i want one more thing that when i open single page FAQ, then its child faq should be open and active.
I want to show active that particular hierarchy, which child is open on single faq page.

    how can i do this?

    Hi Ankit,

I’m sorry we don’t currently have a feature for what you’re asking.
