Can’t Get CForms II 8.7 or Secure Mailer Plugin 5.5 to work.

  • I am using WP 2.5.1. in a subfolder.

    Plugins I’m using are:

    Akismet 2.1.8.
    FeedBurner FeedSmith 2.3.1.
    flickrRSS 4.0.
    Get Recent Comments 2.0.2.
    Popularity Contest 1.3b3
    Recent Love – A List of Recent Comments 0.5.
    Role Manager 2.2.2.
    SRG Clean Archives 4.2.

    Theme I am using is called ‘Options”

    I tried both cforms II 8.7 AND Secure Mailer Plugin 5.5. (Dagon Design)
    and neither work.

    I disabled all plugins except Feedsmith and Askimet.
    Still, neither plugin is working.

    I have tried several workarounds posted on the plugins’ forums and on this forum. Still, nothing.

    I’m not getting the mail, but the forms say successful send.

    My ISP says nothing is wrong with PHP mail.

    I AM getting mail from wordpress when a new user signs up.

    Any thoughts?

    I disabled everything and the theme and neither work on a plain WP 2.5.1. ~ I’m going to attempt a virgin install to test both.

    I did a fresh install of 2.6.2. and neither work either. However, I get mail from wordpress and other plugins. *sigh*

    Just thought I’d give an update: Turns out it may be a problem with my servers spam filters. In this case php mail wont send mail that doesn’t come from my domain. You can delete the previous posts or you can leave them there for educational purposes. If anyone has a similar issue, just the server company saying php mail works is not enough. Apparently it’s auto spam reduction filters blacklist email not coming from the domain (cough: hostrocket)
