can’t get back into my site

    I was uploading files from filezilla and I think I accidentally deleted something. When I type in my wp-admin, I get this message:

    Warning: require(/home/smartmov/public_html/wp-includes/compat.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/smartmov/public_html/wp-settings.php on line 246
    What do I do now?

    Download a fresh copy of the version of WordPress you are using and re-upload either all of it or just the /wp-includes folder (if you know how to do that).

    Not sure how you went from uploading files to accidentally deleting a whole folder, but that’s another story…
