Can't Get A Long Post to Paginate

Hi –

I’m using the theme Magazine basic on my word press. I have a very long post that I wrote and I want it to break up into several pages. I inserted the ‘<!–next page–>’ tag but it isn’t working. Am I doing something wrong?
