• When using an API key, no photos show on my page if I specify more than 26 items or leave the # of Photos option blank on the settings page.

Shortcode I am using is [slickr-flickr tag="nrdportpics" use_key="y"], API key, type “gallery of thumbnail images” and # of photos are specified on the Slickr Flickr settings page.

Page I am using this on is here: https://www.nativerootdesigns.com/portfolio/ (currently set to 26 photos since it is a live site and needs to be working for my client).

    Michael,

Sorry about the delay in answering, the Google Alert did not pick this up. You will get a faster response posting on https://www.slickrflickr.com.

What is your Flickr ID? If you get nothing when specifying an API key that suggests that the API key is incorrect. The error message that indicates no photos found also has a link – it is worth clicking that link as it will give a more detailed message. You can post also this link here.

To investigate change the code [slickr-flickr tag=”nrdportpics” items=”30″] and then inspect the outcome.

    Hi Russell –

Thanks for the reply. I spent some more time on this today, deactivating all my plugins and turning on and off all of my options. I finally tracked the problem down to wp-prettyPhoto and automatic replacement of external iframes. If that box is checked, it kills Slickr Flickr’s API process somehow.

    Hi Michael,
Yes, wp-prettyphoto seems to strip out all the Slickr Flickr code for some reason when it is in replace ‘everything’ mode..

The following might help you with using WP Pretty Photo with Slickr Flickr:

In the last release, Slickr Flickr, 1.32 I added a second wpPrettyPhoto lightbox option in Slickr Flickr Admin settings to make it work with galleries (rather than operating on single photos in the lightbox) – for this you need to set the wp-pretty-photo settings option to load its bundled version of jQuery 1.4.2 instead of using WordPress’s jQuery version 1.6.1.

    Regards

    Russell
