On a client site when I go to User Login>Logged in Users

    1. It shows two logins for the same user with different IP addresses.

    2. There is one IP from Karnataka, Bangalore that when we click Force Logout it won’t. It persistently stays there.

    Thanks for help.

Hi, do you know if you are using proxies, load-balancers, CloudFlare in your site? If you are, try changing the default settings under WP Security -> Settings -> Advanced Settings to something different. Let me know if this helps you.

    Kind regards

If there is caching it is on the host level and I don’t know about it. It’s Bluehost. Looking in their advanced control panel there is no caching option.

That user in Bangalore no longer shows though.

What’s odd is when I sign in I’m listed from my own IP and a second one with my same username from Bluehost’s IP. Why would it do that?

    That is good news.

Have you tried other options in the Advanced Settings as I pointed out above?

Trying another Advanced Settings option. I really have no idea what each of those do or how they help or hurt.

When we switched to HTTP_CF_CONNECTING_IP and refreshed the logged in users it only shows one IP now for us instead of two. Is this a fix then?

Spoke too soon from last post. When we login it’s one IP showing. When client log’s in it’s two entries with two different IPs. Any ideas?

It’s their geolocation and also the one of their web host.

What type of IP addresses are they? For example: ipv4 or ipv6?

    What do you mean?
