Documentation says “The Shortcode . . . can either be entered manually or automatically using the “Table” button in the editor toolbar when editing a post or page.”

I’m not able to find a Table button in the WordPress toolbar or anywhere. Except the WordPress Table block when adding a block, and that obviously is not TablePress. Is that only in Classic or am I missing something?

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

You are right, this still refers to the old “Classic” editor interface, and does not apply to the new block editor (Gutenberg) interface. In that, there’s no such button, but you’ll have to include the table by inserting the Shortcode into a “Shortcode” block. Sorry for the confusion.

I’m planning to add a dedicated “TablePress table” block to the block editor, but that will still take time.

    Regards,
    Tobias

P.S.: In case you haven’t, please rate TablePress here in the plugin directory. Thanks!
