Can’t find option to remove “This is a demo store for testing purposes”

  • Hi there,

    My client has hosted their WordPress website on WordPress.com, which for some reason forced Woocommerce to be installed and cannot be disabled. Unfortunately, they don’t have or need a store (for now), but after launching their new website, they get this message “This is a demo store for testing purposes — no orders shall be fulfilled”. Since this is hosted by WordPress.com, it doesn’t follow the usual Theme – Appearance – Woocommerce – Store notice. How do I turn off this notice in WordPress.com? Thanks!

    Sounds like the WooCommerce Coming Soon Mode is enabled on the site.

    Note: Stores that complete the WooCommerce onboarding, with WooCommerce version 9.1, will default to the Coming soon mode.
