• Hello –

I am having trouble viewing a new theme I created.

I created a site in WordPress hosted on GoDaddy.com and modified the default template. This was on my own hosting account. Let’s call this Site A.

All is well, and you can see it here: https://lauraschoppa.com/wordpress/

Now I want to upload these files (or somehow transfer) to a new site – a friend’s hosting account – also on GoDaddy. Site B.

I made a backup of Site A and was able to upload files from backup to Site B using the IP address (friend has not transferred domain name yet). The trouble is, for Site B, in WordPress Admin, all I can see are the default and classic themes – not the modified version. In the browser, all I see is a blank page.

You can see that blank page here:

I’m assuming its some type of file structure issue.

    thanks for any info!

Hi – I’ve discovered the issue and it has been resolved!

Lesson learned: I had deleted the default theme folder after I had modified a copy for my own template. Restoring that folder solved the issue.

I did re-create all of the pages again – but this didn’t take long. Some day I’d like to find out how to move all of this over as well.
