What exactly does the plugin show in the dashboard widget, if anything?

    • If it says that the log file doesn’t exist or is not accessible, please double-check that the log file name in wp-config.php is correct.
    • Check that the file permissions would allow WP plugins to read it. If unsure, try using the same permissions as the files in /wp-content/uploads have.
    • If the log file name shown in the widget doesn’t match the file name that you entered in wp-config.php, it could be that your hosting provider doesn’t allow changing the log file location in a PHP script. You might need to change it in php.ini instead, or it could be completely disallowed on your server.

Also, why did you create two files? I don’t think the instructions say to create more than one log file. Are you maybe looking at some other plugin’s instructions?
