• Hey guys,
Trying to transfer the blog over to a new GoDaddy host. I’ve uploaded a fresh installation and new database just to test and make sure that things work before I try to move my old blog over to this new server.

I installed it and it doesnt appear to be able to find the database. Do I need to change the DB_HOST in the wp-config.php file? Anyone have any experience installing a WP on a GoDaddy host?

  • Your ALWAYS have to change the wp-config data when having a new host – they are all different.

And there are tons of post about installing it on godaddy, just serach for it.

When you add a MySQL database at Godaddy, and once Godaddy gets done creating that database, you can click on the edit icon for that database to find the database server–that’s what you put as DB_HOST.
