    I have entered a custom field with a Text Input ‘type’. Have filled in the Placeholder, Option A, Option B and Abbreviation.

    The order receipt doesn’t contain the information entered to this field when an order is placed. The orders section of WordPress also doesn’t contain the information that has been entered into this field.

    Where is the data stored and how do I make sure it appears on the order receipt as well as in the WordPress orders section?

    Thanks for responding to my query.

    Unfortunately I have tried this, yet the information still doesn’t come through in the orders under the admin area or in the order email.

    Do I need to add some code anywhere in the templates to make it so this information appears?

    Is all of your abbreviation names different?

    I think I worked out what the problem was. I had punctuation and spaces in the abbreviation. I have taken them out and made the abbreviation one complete word without any punctuation and the information is available now. Thanks for the help!
