• I inherited this club website 2 years ago. Normally I use another program for website development. At first WordPress worked fine. Then the Visual part of the site got corrupted, so I had to use HTML. That was ok, but S L O W.

I see that a new version is available. There is no upgrade button or procedure on the dashboard screen where I edit pages. I tried the suggestion in another forum post to use /wp-admin/ after the site name. I get the same page I always get when I log in.

There are lots of other things missing which should be on an admin site. For instance, the only thing I have under settings is event calendar.

    1. How do I get to the admin site?
    2. How do I download the new version?

Yes I have. This is what is so frustrating.
None of the things referred to show on the page where I log in.
It says to back up, but I don’t have the links referred to in the back up procedures.
It says to disable plug ins. I don’t have that option.
It says I have an upgrade button under tools, but I don’t.

All I can do is edit pages, upload media, and update the website. And I can’t do that effectively because the visual part of WordPress no longer works.
