i migrated to my current kingdomofjoga.com WP site a few years ago and something went wrong in the initial migration.

instead of my old wp.com media library migrating along with all the other posts, my new site just didn’t change the perma-links for these image files. instead, the new website just used my old wp.com URL “dopeland.files.worespress.com in the link. if visitors clicked the new link, they would would be re-directed to the image file which is still stored in in the old wp.com. at first i didn’t notice the error because i still had access to that old wp.com site, but anyone else who licked would just be blocked from seeing my private entry.

i went to bluehost tech support to see if they could fix my userlinks. instead, what they did was change all the “dopeland.files.wordpress.com” links to the new standard” kingdomofjoga.com” for those files in the old media library. and obviously they would be broken links, because now i would see the same error message that other visitors did.

so i’ve been trying to export my old media library from the old dashboard. the media library .TAR file was 3GB (the upper limit with my free account). everytime i try to download this file, it gets to about 80% (after 10-15 minutes and then abruptly cancels the download. any help appreciated!
