Can’t even remove this piece of x

  • Useless plugin, and now I can’t even remove it. I have tried numerous times, it just stays on my plugin list. Terrible.

    I’m sorry to hear you are having issues with WooCommerce Shipping & Tax plugin. You should be able to remove this plugin like any others by going to WP Admin > Plugins and clicking Deactivate and then Delete below the plugin name.

    Can you please let us know what exactly happens when you attempt to delete it? Do you get an error message?

    I have the same problem!
    Never happened with any other plugin!
    Just terrible.

    Could you let us know if you’re seeing the critical error when you try to deactivate the plugin, or when you try to delete it? Depending on where in the process you’re seeing that error, we can give you next best steps for removing it.

    Could you also let us know what the exact error was from the critical error email? We’d like to take a look at that.

    I figured out the problem. You have to have the “main” WooCommerce installed and active before removing WC S&T.
    With WC Activated,
    You can delete WC S&T,
    then deactivate WC,
    then delete WC.

    Thanks for that step-by-step process, I was able to reproduce the issue and have filed a report with our developers so the problem can get fixed in future versions.

    This problem has been officially fixed as of May 20 in version 1.25.13 (view changelog), so for any experiencing this issue please update to the latest version of Shipping & Tax before trying to remove the plugin.

    1.25.13 - 2021-05-20
* Fix   - Plugin deletion when WooCommerce core is not present.
