Can’t even do the simplest protection

  • Simply said, it’s a flawed plugin that you should think twice before even considering adding to your website. I can give one example. Almost the entire internet has been complaining about the plugin’s treatment of the wp admin login page. If you want to hide your wp admin login page as part of your brute-force attack prevention, you’re supposed to be able to use this plugin to change the wp admin login’s URL. As simple as that. And, yet, this plugin cannot do even that. Once you change the URL, the new URL always resolves to 404 not found. Your original wp admin page will say ‘Not available.’ As a result, you cannot log into your wp admin at all. Neither by using the new URL nor by using the old one. The developer’s presence among WP plugins should be reconsidered as the developer is well aware of this issue and has done little to solve it. The developer keeps giving the same suggestions to resolve, none of which have helped. It’s really terrible experience I don’t wish any webmaster to go through.

    Just because someone may have a similar issue to what your having does not mean it’s exactly the same, as plugins and themes installed and hosting enviroments are vastly different between each user.
