I installed & enforced the ssl certificate through tools.siteground.com.

However, when I try to do it via the Siteground Optimizer Plugin – I get ‘Please install an SSL certificate first.

I find it odd that no solutions for this problem appear online. I cant be the only one with this problem.

I appreciate any help that I can get with this.

    Regards,
    Square Media

  • In my experience, you don’t need to enforce HTTPS with the plugin if you enforce it at tools.siteground.com. If you need to do it with the plugin, make sure the SSL certificate is installed but not enforced through tools.siteground.com and then enforce it with the SG Optimizer plugin.

    Hello @squaremedia,

Currently the domain is not resolving and it is pointed to external NS records. So we are marking the case as resolved.

Please update the thread in case you point the domain back to your SiteGround account and the issue persist, so we can further look into it.

    Best Regards,
    Elena
