Can't enable gzip by any way

    Hi all,

    I am currently going crazy over how to activate Gzip compression on my WordPress website.

    I have tried many plug-ins and copied/pasted many code lines into my .htaccess file, but none of that worked!

    I suppose this could be an issue with my provider, 1&1, but I have no idea what that could be and how to fix it.

    If someone coulp help, I would be forever grateful…

    Would you please ask 1&1 if it’s available on your server? If mod_gzip or mod_deflate aren’t available on your server, then there’s nothing you can do that would switch them on. ??

    I’ll ask them then tomorrow. Last time I tried I couldn’t get to them…

    Excellent, hopefully they’ll have a solution for you, and if they don’t respond, maybe it’s time for a new hosting provider. ??
