After installing plugin it gives me message that another plugin is not playing well with SG Optimizer so I disabled it. I want to use the FOrce SSL but I can’t enable it. I just get COULD NOT ENABLE SSL. On my hosting partner it is enabled with Lets encrypt. The other plugin ‘Really simple SSL’ works without any problem.. Can I enable this one together with SG Optimizer or is there a solution? Now my homepage gives me again mixed mode content error.. don’t want that…

There is no need to use Really Simple SSL with our plugin together. Disable it and clear all SSL enforcing rules from your .htaccess files. Once you do that, you will be able to force HTTPS through the SG Optimizer interface. Make sure you check your website after you enable it. If everything is working good, do not enable the Fix Insecure Content switch which will become available. On the other hand if you see such warnings – flip on the switch and the Optimizer will take care of them.

If the issue persists, give me your domain name and I will look into it further.

I am not using any SSL plugin, only site ground optimizer. Do I have to edit the site url from http to https in settings – >general? It doesn’t work when I click force SSL,it says “Non posso abilitare HTTPS”

No, the plugin should take care of that. Is your .htaccess file writeable and do you have any ssl force rules in it?

I haven’t any ssl force rules in .htaccess, file permissions was set at 644, i tried to change it to 755 but it didn’t work.

Can you give me the URL please so I can look inti it?

Sure. I tried on radiostudioitalia dot it and vinisasci dot com

Hi, have you found any solution or do I have to switch to Cloudflare to get HTTPS? Thanks

The problem had nothing to do with the SG Optimizer. Somehow, the LE certificate was installed but the appropriate vhost for your domain was not created by cPanel and the certificate wasn’t working properly at all.

Removed your certificate and reissued it again. This time evereything was installed properly without any problems. You can now enable / disable HTTPS for your site using the plugin without any problems.

Sorry it took so long but it was kind of an edge case to be honest. I’ve seen only once such problem with the ceretificate issuing scripts. Anyway, it’s now fixed ??

Thank you. Now it is working.
