Can’t embed video in WP

    I’ve tried several different plug ins but none of them work.

    The youtube video will show up (as seen in my video page), but won’t play.

    I’ve tried it on the main page as well, still wont play.

    I had tried putting in 5 videos, and the third one actually worked, until I hit refresh, then it quit working again, and I haven’t been able to get it working since.

    Any ideas?

  • You may have bad links or code from youtube.

    I was able to put the youtube videos on another website and blog.

    And one time it did work, until I hit refresh.

    I’ve tried making sure the code is right, but I’ll see if I made a mistake. thanks.

    Many people make the horrible mistake of pasting the youtube (or any other embed code) into the wysiwyg (visual) editor.

    I’ve tried 3 or 4 plugins designed to insert youtube videos including smart-youtube, vipers-video-quicktags, wp-youtube and embeded video with link…

    wp-youtube wouldn’t even show up in the plugins, and the others all had the same result, it shows the youtube video blank, but won’t play.

    I’ve followed the directions, and no luck.

    And, now I’ve tried it with all the pages validating properly. ??
