Cant embed image nor link to it – relative links

I am unable to embed a image in a page nor even link to the image.

This appears to be a problem with relative links…

The image I am trying to link to is at:
https://exileskimboards.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/ex1-skimboard-size-chart.png

However, everytime I link/src to this image or try to embed it, wordpress modifys the link to: href=”../wp-content/uploads/2014/03/ex1-skimboard-size-chart.png

This invariably points to: https://exileskimboards.com/SKIMBOARDS/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/ex1-skimboard-size-chart.png

The addition of the “skimboards” directory in the URL results in an incorrect path.

Any ideas how to fix this?
