Can’t edit the theme.

  • I installed a theme but I can’t edit it. I’ve made all my WordPress files writable except .htaccess and I followed what it is given. It still won’t allow me to edit the theme! Please help!

  • How do you plan to edit your theme, online or offline?
    If online, what are you using to edit it, how are you editing it?

    What’s the exact permissions that you’ve set the WP files that you want to edit? Why don’t you just temporarily set your files to 777 and edit it and make sure to set it back to 755. What type of error messages are you seeing when you try to edit the file? Or is it just not saving properly? Please elaborate on “edit”.
