Can’t edit Store page until I desactivate Woocommerce plug in

Hi! That definitely sounds frustrating.

Can I ask what theme you’re using and whether it’s up to date? Can you try switching (temporarily) to Storefront (the default WooCommerce theme) or a default WordPress theme such as Twenty Twenty to see if you can edit the page then?

If you’re concerned about switching theme on a live site, you could try using Health Check to switch without affecting what customers see.

If you can, then I’d suggest getting in touch with your theme developer to see if they have an update for 5.6 compliance.

I’m using crimson rose, before the update I haven’t this problem with this theme, so, this is because I thought immediately that the problem is the update and woocommerce.

We haven’t had any reports of issues like this with the new update, so I suspect another plugin is causing a conflict.

what is the exact text of the 503 error you’re seeing?

I see your site doesn’t have a valid SSL certificate. Is this something you can address with your hosting?

Can you try a full conflict check – here’s documentation. With Twenty Twenty and *only* WooCommerce active, try editing your page, then if it works ok, try reactivating your plugins one at a time. You may be able to use Health Check for this, or you could try doing it on a staging copy of your site to avoid affecting customers.

That’s definitely frustrating for you!

I see the site address is recorded as https in your System Status Report even though at the time, the SSL was not active. This may potentially have caused an issue. I see the SSL certificate is active now – are you able to edit the page now?

I’d also suggest checking some settings with your host – do they support HTTP2? Do you have enough filespace available for your site with the host? The protocol error is likely hosting related, so I suggest you send them the error message and see if they have any other suggestions for you.

Next time you see the 503 error, please take a screenshot! I don’t see that plugin in your site, but if it is related to the Facebook for WooCommerce plugin, that has its own support forum.
