Further info using Chrome Developer Tools. This happens when I click “Edit”:

    qsm-admin-question.js?ver=4.5:216
Uncaught ReferenceError: tinyMCE is not defined
    (anonymous function) @ qsm-admin-question.js?ver=4.5:216
    n.event.dispatch @ load-scripts.php?c=0&load[]=jquery-core,jquery-migrate,utils&ver=4.5:3
    r.handle @ load-scripts.php?c=0&load[]=jquery-core,jquery-migrate,utils&ver=4.5:3

Having the same problem – cannot edit a question. If I save a question with a mistake in it, I’ve got to delete the question. If the questions are in a certain order, then I have to also delete all questions after that one as well and reenter them. Can’t otherwise find a way to order the questions. (Or is that a 2nd ‘issue’?)

    Thanks.

I have found the cause of this issue. It is probably more a “bad coding practice” than a bug though. Please fix this.

The editor for the questions is apparently programmed to be dependent on the WYSIWYG editor. I have the WordPress WYSIWYG editor disabled (WordPress, Users, Profile). Re-enabling the WYSIWYG editor turned out to be the workaround. I can now edit the survey questions and the TinyMCE error is gone.

tfskeith, could you please check if this works for you too?

    Thanks for helping out.

Unfortunately, the editor was enabled. But to be sure, I disabled it, still didn’t work, reenabled it, and still didn’t work.

Any logs this plugin generates? Any other ideas?

    Thanks!

@tfskeith: do you get any errors in de development console (in Chrome and Internet Explorer, press F12 and select console) when you try to edit the questions?

Yes. For the statement tinyMCE.get('question_name').setContent(question); it returns “Object doesn’t support property or method ‘setContent'” when WYSIWYG is enabled. I get NO errors when it is disabled, but still nothing happens.

Thanks for continuing to look into this.

    Hey Ron and tfskeith,

Thank you for choosing to use our plugin!
    ?
To help us debug this issue, can you submit the Support Form within the plugin which will send us useful data about your WordPress installation including PHP version, WordPress version, active plugins, etc… You can find this form on the Help page in the Quizzes/Surveys menu.
    ?
Also, would you be able to perform a plugin conflict check? This process will check to see if there is a plugin that you have installed that may not be compatible with the plugin that you are trying to use. To do this, first de-activate all other plugins besides Quiz And Survey Master. Now, check to see if it is working correctly. If this fixed the problem, this suggests that it is a plugin conflict issue. To discover which plugin may contain the conflict, activate one plugin and then check if the plugin you are setting up still works. If it no longer works again, the plugin you just re-activate is the plugin conflict. If not, continue to activate the plugins one by one and check to see if the problem arises again. If you do find a plugin conflict, please let me know which plugin and which version of the plugin that you are using.

7 months and 2 weeks later, this problem still isn’t solved? I’m having the same problem. All plugins deactivate aside from this plugin.

    Hey @clintonlee83

Thank you for choosing to use this plugin! Do you have the editor turned on or off in your profile like the user described above? Does changing that make any difference?

Also, a user above described how to see any console errors. Can you follow those steps to see you are receiving any similar errors to the users above?

Hi, Ron vdK gave the good solution. Thank you Ron
