• Hey all,

WP just updated itself a couple of days ago and i can’t edit my menus now. When I go to click “Save Menu”, it comes back to wp-admin/nav-menus.php and asks me “Are you sure you want to do this?”. I’ve searched for that text on my on that php page and it isn’t there. I’ve done a grep for it in my plugin folder and I only get back a js file for Wordfence, so this isn’t my issue because I can see the page post back to the server. The question on the returned page does not have a Yes No options. It is not posting a form back to me. Only asking a question I can’t respond to.

My theme is Sparkling and I am running the latest version of the theme. I’m not sure what the issue is. I need to remove a link on my menu ASAP!!! Please help… This worked with version 4.0.1 too.

    My plugins are as follows:
    Akismet
    All In One WP Security
    BruteProtect
    Google Analytics by Yoast
Google Site Verification plugin using Meta Tag
    Hello Bar (Official)
    Jetpack by WordPress.com
    MailChimp
    Po.st
    Print Friendly and PDF
    Related Posts by Zemanta
    Social Media Widget
    VaultPress
    W3 Total Cache
    Wordfence Security
    WordPress SEO
    WP Missed Schedule

I don’t think this is a plugin issue, but I’m not sure. Has anyone else had this issue? Is there a workaround for this? I don’t want to change it in the DB b/c I don’t know the API well enough to feel comfortable doing that.

As an aside, I am a software engineer, but not a strong PHP or WP guy. I’ma .NET guy. If there is a technical answer, however, let me know. I’m not afraid of all things techy!!! Thanks.

Just found this text on wp-admin/comments.php. How is editing a menu getting redirected to comments? Is this an Akismet issue by chance?

no one else is having this issue?

Probably not the identical issue because no one else’s site is identical to yours. I’d suggest starting by deactivating all plugins – standard troubleshooting. See if that fixes the problem. If so, reactivate them one by one to see which is troublesome.

i’ll have to I guess but that option sucks. Site gets a ton of traffic and we just published a book so traffic is up. Grrr… I have a feeling it is a theme issue, but of course I can’t prove it yet.

    Hi mrking02,

If you’re using the Chrome browser, right click on your site page and select “Inspect Element” and then click the Console tab. That might give you an idea where an error is located.
