Can't edit permalink on pages

  • I am creating pages in WP, and it will not let me type in the name of the permalink. The only button there says “Change Permalinks”, and it takes me to the Permalink Structure settings. I just want to type th ename of the permalink in there.

  • Create the pages and then edit their permalinks via Edit Page.

    This is what worked for me:

    I went to the “Change Permalinks” page, and picked another option (I chose the “Month and name” option). Then, when I went back to the individual page I needed to edit, the “Edit” button was BACK, and I was able to edit the permalink like usual.
