when I go into my admin screen and try to edit or even create new pages for my website it goes to a blank screen – I have contacted my web hosting services and they say it’s a wordpress issue – I have read the forums and tried changing the theme and deactivated all the plugins and re activated them one at a time checking to see if it resolved between them – this didn’t work – I installed health check and it doesn’t seem to point me in any direction – please help!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hay Blairandsusan – I added classic editor to my plugins and was able to make edits – but you will be working blind – it’s good for a quick edit but not a permanent fix for sure – hope and administrator catches this and we get a real fix soon!

I already have classic editor and cannot make any updates.

How do we get someone from WordPress to help with this?

I found that I had to select the print to see- so go over it like you’re going to copy paste and the existing stuff will show up and you can make little changes

Thanks but I need to make more than little changes, I need to finish a post I was in the middle of working on.

    Hi Tammyphi,
I just got my issue sorted with a moderator and his suggestion which worked was disable all my Chrome extensions and make sure my browser was up to date. It worked, and I can now edit my website pages and posts. Hope you are back up and running as well.

Glad to hear it Susan – How did you get in touch with a moderator – I an using Microsoft Edge and I don’t see any extensions to disable and I am still unable to get anywhere – I can’t even see my site on Safari so it’s something else in there

A moderator answered my post however I did everything he suggested and I am not convinced it was a Word Press issue. I was working with my hosting server and they made some changes as well. My problem may have been partially caused by the fact I am in Portugal and some of the IP address’ I was using were blocked. Possibly between the fixes I made in WP and the research done by my hosting provider it got fixed. Unfortunately I cannot be sure exactly what was the actual fix. I use Chrome so not sure about how extensions work in Edge, sorry. Keep posting on WP and I hope you get help soon.

@tammyphi Please don’t report posts unless you actually need a Moderator. We’re no smarter than other people, we just have more responsibility.

Using the Health Check plugin, go to the Site Status tab, and check if the REST API is active and functional.

    Hi Mika,

Thanks for responding – this is what I needed – so when I run that app here’s what I get

The REST API request failed due to an error.
Error encountered: (0) cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 10002 milliseconds with 0 bytes received

Now how do I resolve this?? I have reached out to my hosting provider and they direct me back here – and as you can tell by the thread I didn’t get any responses that were helpful till now
