This is the wackiest problem I’ve ever seen. I had recently moved WordPress from one domain to another, and spent a day dealing with that headache, getting .htaccess all set up and everything, and finally everything was working well.

Or so I thought. Now I can’t edit or add new pages. Everything else works fine, uploading images, editing stylesheets, even making and editing posts works. But I can’t make new pages, edit existing pages, or do anything. If I try, I get an error, depending on my browser, that the site can’t load. In Chrome it’s No Data Received, in Firefox, Server Reset, and whatever the generic errors in Internet Explorer and Opera are.

But then, the rest of the site does that too, until I clear my cookies and cache. I’ve found a bunch of possible solutions to that problem, but this only happens when editing or creating a new page.

I’m sure this has something to do with the domain change, because this was working with all plugins and themes prior to that, but I can’t find any information about it, since it’s only pages that mess up. Does anyone have any idea?

    The site is https://www.oncalltelevision.com

I just moved to a new domain on Godaddy

Hey it’s an issue with Go Daddy. There are already many posts about it here. The best thing you can do is call them to make them aware of their problem and comment on their forum:

    https://support.godaddy.com/groups/wordpress-hosting/forum/

All of us here who have GoDaddy can’t do anything with our blogs.

I doubt that, since it was working (On Godaddy) prior to changing URLs. Like I said before, the only thing that’s different is that the domain name changed.

Double check just to be sure. As about of yesterday afternoon we’re all having problems.

I’ve checked your link, this problem seems to have been going on for months. I have had no issues until changing the domain last week. If it were a problem with Godaddy how can I edit anything at all? It seems to be ONLY pages having this issue.

I’m also having this problem which started for me yesterday. My host is Godaddy. I’m able to publish a new page as long as it is simple – not too long or many links. I even purchased new Godaddy server hosting today to upgrade from shared. Same problem on the new hosting server with a brand new WordPress install – no plugins and no content.

I have the same issue whether Pages or Posts.

I’m having the same issue on GoDaddy and they are telling me it is my theme (optimizepress) which I’ve used on four other sites with no problem or a plugin (which I’ve disabled all). If you discover a solution, would love to know what worked as I have a major launch next week and need to edit the site reliably!

I should also note that when the site appears to send no data to me, others (such as downforeveryoneorjustme.com) report the site has being alive.

I don’t know if this is related or if I just happened to get lucky, but I enabled error logging in the Godaddy control panel and the problem stopped instantly. Not sure what was going on, but it seems to have resolved itself. Guess it was GoDaddy.
