• Yesterday I updated to 3.9.1 and also all my plug-ins. Now I can’t edit my pages: when I click on the edit icon, I get mainly a blank window, with only a half-inch of text down the right side of the window. I have also been having ongoing problems with IG PageBuilder, but I am apprehensive about deactivating it to see if that is the source of my problems, because I get a message saying that “all content built with PageBuilder will be parsed to plain HTML code”. One more thing: when I import text from Word to a page, I get arbitrary line breaks.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

If I deactivate the IG PageBuilder plugins, do I need to be concerned about “all content built with PageBuilder will be parsed to plain HTML code”, and losing all my formatting? Thanks for your help.

Deactivating and reactivating the plugins deleted the original problem, but unfortunately created some new ones. But at least I can edit the site now. Thanks for the help.

I’m having a similar issue. I have upgraded to 3.9.1 and I, whether making a new post or trying to edit an existing post, can’t. I have a blank edit window. I have deactivated all of my plugins and nothing.

Add to this, my issues is with anytime I am trying to edit a post, page, or gallery. Basically, I can’t edit anything!!!
