Can’t edit own pages

    I have a user with author permissions who I am giving the extra custom role to edit her own pages only. I have ticked ‘edit pages’ under ‘pages’ in the User Role Editor. She can now see all the pages she owns, but can only view them – not edit. What have I done wrong?
