• Hello everyone,

so I want to setup an online shop on our website where we use the OceanWP theme and Elementor Pro.

After downloading the WooCommerce Plugin, I noticed I wasn’t able to edit any page with Elementor. The sidebar with the widgets is loading and loading and nothing more. When WooCommerce is deactivated, it’s working fine.

So, I looked online, changed the memory limit to 256, did not help. Then, I tried to edit the OceanWP theme itself within “Appearance” to see if there are any WooCommerce options but it wasn’t loading at all. First I got an error notice, later it opened but still only loading and no options to edit are shown. Also here, when WooCommerce is inactive, it’s working fine.

The I looked into “Site Health” and saw that the authorization header is missing:
“The Authorization header is used by third-party applications you have approved for this site. Without this header, those apps cannot connect to your site.
If you are still seeing this warning after having tried the actions below, you may need to contact your hosting provider for further assistance.”
I did flush the permalinks but nothing changed, even after deactivating the WooCommerce plugin. Could that be the problem?

On Site Health I also saw that we use an outdated SQL server (stated on our hosting partner we use MySQL 5.7):
“The SQL server is a required piece of software for the database WordPress uses to store all your site’s content and settings.
For optimal performance and security reasons, you should consider running MySQL version 8.0 or higher. Contact your web hosting company to correct this.”
Could that also be the problem?

Every plugin/theme is updated to the newest version and I really have no clue what else to do.

    Thank you in advance!

  • I think the problem is in the new WooCommerce update. I have the same problem on 4 of my 5 WooCommerce. All plugins have been deactivated, the theme has been changed and only when WooCommerce is activated does the website break.

Hey there, @christinri! Thanks for contacting us. I’m happy to help you.

To confirm, if you have only WooCommerce active, are you able to use it without issues? Is the issue specific with Elementor and the theme?

Which version of WooCommerce are you using?

Can you please share the Fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs. Then you can use the selector to search for Fatal Errors.
You could copy and paste your reply here or paste it via https://gist.github.com/ and send the link here.

    Looking forward to your reply.
