• Despite having a website on my own server (Brulosophy.com), I hugely prefer editing from WordPress.com; not WP-Admin, but rather https://wordpress.com/posts/brulosophy.com (is there a name for this?).

A couple weeks ago, as I was going to edit an article, I clicked “Add new post” and was redirected to WP-Admin. I figured it was a temporary issue, but nothing has changed. I’d really like to have this feature back and was wondering what I need to do to make that happen?

    Thanks!

I call that syndication! And that’s really cool if you like doing that. It fits with my pet posting philosophy.

I’m a bit confused about your address at WordPress dot com as I found the single post at the above link also on a site called sieramike.com with other posts at WordPress dot com and that confused me a bit.

I imagine you intended to post at your WordPress dot com but used the address of your self-hosted site which is why you were dropped into wp-admin.

Think about the above and let me know what we can do to help with your self-hosted blog.

Thanks for the response! This is such a difficult issue for me to describe clearly, so I apologize.

I have no clue what sieramike.com is or what you found there, I’m in no way affiliated with that.

I do not have an active WordPress dot com website, I only have my self-hosted site, brulosophy.com, and I have no problems editing from WP-Admin. However, with Jetpack installed, I’m able to use WordPress dot com to check my stats as well as edit posts and pages, it’s what I’ve been doing for years and far prefer over WP-Admin.

Starting a couple weeks ago (I forget the exact date), after changing absolutely nothing on my end, whenever I would use WordPress dot com to edit posts (https://wordpress.com/posts/brulosophy.com), rather than opening up a new post with the white and light blue background on WordPress dot com, it would redirect me to WP-Admin.
