It may be possible that updating some plugins or even wp it self-creates some problem.

After disabling the plugins please cross check if the things work for you.

@krupajnanda and @rajanit2000 After I deactivated all plugins, things worked out! However, is there a way that I keep my plugins active? Otherwise, I will have to disable them every time when I want to edit a post :/

Just active one by one, then try to add post

So you can find the issue plugin. Just fix that particular plugin issue or replace with new alternative plugin

Or you can do vise-versa. Leave your plugins enabled and disable them one by one. And try to add post after each disabling.
