When editing a form in the Visual Form Builder editor, I am unable to edit the form items. For example, I add ‘text’ or ‘instructions’ but the little arrows on the right side of the items do not respond or reveal the drop-down options, and i am unable to change the name of the items, e.g. from ‘text’ to ‘first name’ etc.

Please help! There must be a simple answer.

  • To add to Giulia’s post, I looked at what was happening on the site she is working on and determined this is a namespace clash between the WP Boxer plugin (which no longer seems to be available on the WordPress Plugins site). They both use class “item-edit” in the admin interface, so when you press the expand arrow buttons under elements on Visual Form Builder’s form edit page, Boxer captures them and gets a Javascript error (so it appears to the user like the arrows don’t work).

Yes this sounds like a conflict or server issue. You might try disabling other plugins and see if that helps. It could be a theme conflict as well. Also make sure you are running Php version 5.4 or better. Sorry for the delay in our reply.

    Thanks,
