    Hi,

After the latest update, I found out that I’m no longer able to edit existing files access, folder etc.

I’ve tried disabling all plugins and just use a standard WP theme to rule out any conflicts. Unfortunately, nothing helped. Here a quick explaner, so you can se it from my end: https://www.dropbox.com/s/py32zvhhj7j7fin/Edit.mp4?dl=0

Hope it makes sense to you so you can sprinkle some of your superpowers onto it ??

    Cheers,
    Jesper

It appears that you’re experiencing some JavaScript errors. Could you please open your browser’s JavaScript console (Google for instructions in various languages https://www.google.com/search?q=how+to+open+javascript+console&oq=how+to+open+javascript+console&aqs=chrome..69i57j0l5.3926j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8) and try again? Then, see what kinds of errors you see in the console, and report back.

Hm, nothing from that screenshot indicates the kind of JS failure that would cause the behavior I see here.

What theme are you using? If possible, you might try switching themes to see if it’s related.

I’m using Jupiter 6. I have already tried deactivating all plugins and just go with an std. WordPress theme. It does the same thing. Ypu click on either of the links, and it scrolles you to the top of the page. Like if you had made an in page anchor/link but forgotten to ad an ID.

P.S. I have also tried from different browsers

    Hi Boone,

Have you had an opportunity to look into this? Is there any way I can get you onboard to maybe take a look for yourself? It’s becoming pretty urgent and I really love the work you’ve done with this plugin!

    Cheers,
    Jesper

Hi Jesper – The new screencast, like the previous one, suggests strongly that the necessary JavaScript is not running in your browser for one reason or other. (You can tell because the “snapshot” section at the top – which summarizes the various permissions levels – is not being properly collapsed.) If you’re not seeing any notices, it could be that the Docs JavaScript is being blocked from being loaded for some reason. Things to look at:

    – View the source of the page. Search for a file called bp-docs.js. Is it there? Search the page source for everything containing buddypress-docs/includes/js, and list them here.
    – Open the Network tab of your browser tools and do a hard refresh of the page. Look for (or filter by) bp-docs.js. Do you see it? Is it being properly loaded?
    – Does JS work in other parts of Docs? For example, if you’re looking at a Docs directory and you see the ‘Filter by: Attachment Search Tag’ interface, are you able to click them and have the appropriate filter interface appear?

So this is where my lack of experience shows up. I get what you are saying, but I don’t really have the confidence and understanding. I have spent such a crazy amount of time on this and I’d really love it to work. It’s a vital part of my solution, but I’m kinda losing my motivation ?? Is there a way I could hire you to get it to work? You know what you are looking for and how it’s put together.

Hi Jesper – The instructions I gave you above don’t require you to make any changes to your system, so they should be things you can check without breaking anything.

If you continue to have problems, get in touch with me via email according to the instructions at https://boone.gorg.es/ and I can try to find time to take a closer look.

Thank you so much for your help, Boone. I had my host look into a second time, after giving up the first time, because I tried changing the environment. And that helped. So it turned out there was a white space in the wp-config file, that – for some reason – was affecting the execution of JS. After correcting everything is good.

Thank you again for your dedication and for an awesome plugin!

Ah, wonderful! I never would’ve found that ??
